Ⅰ. dear 表示“貴”的意思時(shí)和cheap相對(duì)，指索價(jià)過(guò)高。主語(yǔ)是物。如：

　　① It is too dear. 這太貴了。

　　② The flowers were not dear. 這些花我貴。

　　Ⅱ. expensive “昂貴的”，指超過(guò)物品的價(jià)值或購(gòu)買(mǎi)者的購(gòu)買(mǎi)力。主語(yǔ)是物。如：

　　① It is too expensive for me to buy. 這東西太貴了我買(mǎi)不起。

　　② This is an expensive hat. 這是一頂價(jià)錢(qián)昂貴的帽子。

　　Ⅲ. high 與low相對(duì)，主語(yǔ)是價(jià)格(the price), 如：

　　① The price of the pen is not low for him. 這支鋼筆對(duì)于他來(lái)說(shuō)不便宜。
