專題訓練(二)巧用派生詞,做好完形填空
技巧點撥:
動詞前后、形容詞前后可有副詞,這時,如果所給詞為形容詞,則需將其變?yōu)楦痹~。如果所給詞為名詞或動詞,可先將其變?yōu)樾稳菰~,再加后綴-ly。另外,在答題時還要考慮副詞級的變化。名詞前面一般可有形容詞修飾語,連系動詞后接形容詞作表語。如果所需詞為形容詞時,還要考慮形容詞級的變化。如:

閱讀中的猜詞技巧(2)
對比法
方法點撥:
有的文章作者為了增強表達效果,會用一對反義詞揭示事物的不同點,形成鮮明的對比,這時只要把握其中的一詞,就不難推出另一詞的含義;有的根據(jù)上下句之間表示轉折或對比關系的連接詞,就可以看到前后句在意義上的差別,從而依據(jù)某一句的含義來確定另一句的含義。這種句子多半有unlike, although, but, yet, while, on the contrary, on the other hand, instead of, rather than等信息詞。另外,分號也可以表示轉折、對比的意義。如:

1.解析: 根據(jù)stupid可推斷出intelligent的意思為“聰明的”。
