avoid 的用法　

　　1. 從意思上看，可表示避開或躲避某人或某物;也可表示防止某事的發生。如：

　　I think she is avoiding me. 我想她是在躲著我。

　　Try to avoid accidents. 盡量防止發生事故。

　　I avoided him as much as possible. 我盡量避開他。

　　You should avoid such mistakes. 你應當避免這樣的錯誤。

　　Thus he avoided a heart attack. 就這樣他避免了一次心臟病復發。

　　The very wise avoid such a temptation. 真正聰明的人都避開這種誘惑。

　　I realized he was trying to avoid the topic. 我意識到他是在設法避開這個話題。

　　2. 從用法上看，其后可接名詞或代詞作賓語，也可接動名詞作賓語，但是不能接不定式作賓語。如：

　　他避而不答我的問題。

　　正：He avoided answering my questions.

　　誤：He avoided to answer my questions.

　　要想不受影響是不可能的。

　　正：It was impossible to avoid being affected.

　　誤：It was impossible to avoid to be affected.
