delegate, deputy, representative, agent, substitute
這些名詞有代表、代理人之意。
delegate : 指一般被派參加某一會(huì)議的代表。
He is one of the delegates to the conference.(他是與會(huì)代表之一。)
deputy : 指上級(jí)授權(quán)代理行事的代表，特指被選擇為執(zhí)行全部或部分公務(wù)的人。
John will act as a deputy for me during my absence.(我離開期間, 約翰將代理我的職務(wù)。)
He is one of the delegates to the conference.(他是與會(huì)代表之一。)
representative : 一般指被選舉或委派代表某人或一些人或某個(gè)較大團(tuán)體的人，其職務(wù)有時(shí)是較長(zhǎng)期的。
