There was a person who made his living with his excellent acrobatic(雜技的) skills in the state of Song. He once purposely went to the palace to perform his specialty for King Yuan of the state of Song. The King was amazed by his performance and rewarded him with a lot of things.

Another actor heard of this and offered to perform for the King too. Knowing this, the king became furious and said, "Last time I was in a good mood, so I gave out a lot of largess. You must have come for the rewards. I loathe(討厭) this type of person like you very much."

After saying this, the king ordered his arrest. By the time this unfortunate actor was released, a whole month had passed.

宋國有一個靠高超的雜技技藝為生的人，特地進宮去給宋元君表演自己的專長，宋元君看后，十分驚訝，賞賜給他許多東西。

另一個藝人聽說這件事后，也要求給宋元君專場演出。宋元君聽說后，大發雷霆，說：“上次正趕上我心情愉快，所以賞賜得多了一些。你肯定也是沖著賞賜來的。我對你這種人最為厭惡。”

說完后，宋元君下令把他關起來。一個月后，這個倒霉的藝人才被放出來。
