過去將來時表示從過去某個時間看將要或?qū)戆l(fā)生的事，它的基本形式為would/ should +動詞原形 (should用于第一人稱I 和we)。

　　例如：I thought he wouldnt attend that evening party, but to our surprise, he came. 我以為他不會參加那個晚會，但是令我們驚奇的是，他來了。

　　I said on Tuesday that I should see my friend in Beijing the next day. 我星期二說過，第二天我要到北京看我的朋友。
