Ⅰ.pupil 特指“小學(xué)生;初等學(xué)校的學(xué)生”。也可指在教師指導(dǎo)下從事研究的“學(xué)生;門徒”如：

　　The peanist often gives pisno lessons to her pupils. 這位鋼琴家經(jīng)常給她的學(xué)生上鋼琴課。

　　Ⅱ.student 指“大專院校的學(xué)生;中學(xué)生”。 有時(shí)，也可指研究或攻讀某一學(xué)科的人。如：—→a college student. a middle school student.

　　He is a student of science. 他是一個(gè)理科學(xué)生。
